Is SugarDaddyMeet legit in Canada?
On 3 October 2026, two accounts registered in Canada were shown Premium at $300 for one month. The first 1,011 women's profiles in the Gallery had a median age of 28, and 635 of them were open to travel. 178 of 1,011 men's profiles showed a Premium badge. Nobody on these accounts paid.
Prices, line by line, are on what SugarDaddyMeet costs. The count itself is on who is on it in Canada.

Who should pay, and who should wait?
SugarDaddyMeet is a real site, online since 2007, and a Canadian account could browse live Gallery cards on 3 October 2026. I would pay for Premium only after that free Gallery, in my own city, showed people I would message. $300 a month buys the right to write first, and the footer says members are not screened. I cannot justify Platinum or Chairman from what these accounts were allowed to see.
What holds up
- Live site since 2007, its own date
- Free Gallery, city filter, and replies
- Photo check is part of joining
- Canadian cards were real profiles
What to watch
- $300 a month, no currency code
- Footer: no background checks
- Three tabs ignored the Canada filter
- No app on the iOS App Store
Is SugarDaddyMeet a legit site?
Yes. The public site has been online since 2007, sign-up is an ordinary account, and on 3 October 2026 two accounts registered in Canada were reading live profile cards rather than a parked page. casugardaddymeet.com is a partner guide I write. How the registration link is paid for is on the affiliate disclosure.
Real does not mean the marketing totals are mine. On 3 October 2026 the logged-out homepage printed 9.9 million+ members, 2.4 million+ men and 7.5 million+ women, "about three women for every man." A lower counter on the same homepage, read the next day, said 7,089,450+. The Canada page claims 85,000 active members in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, 91% of "successful members" with income and photo verification, and 42% of first conversations turning into a date within two weeks in Q3 2024. A photo check, the FAQ says, does not confirm income. None of this is the Gallery sample.
You record a clip of 3 to 8 seconds. The platform says it decides within 24 hours, and that email plus phone are confirmed when the profile is created. Its own timing for that step is about one business day. The FAQ's word for when browsing may start is "approved." It does not describe a person going through the profile. Help numbers on the payment screen are 1-416-628-1072 and 1-888-702-1274 (toll-free), 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern. The 416 prefix is an area code, not an office. "Canadian-based" on the Canada page and "usually within 30 seconds" on Me and Settings are two different promises.
Is SugarDaddyMeet worth the money?
I would spend the money only after a free Gallery, filtered to my own city, already showed someone I wanted to contact. On the afternoon of 3 October 2026 the man's account and the woman's account, both registered in Canada, opened one upgrade screen with the same four lines. Premium was $300 for a single month. The three-month option was $800 and added one complimentary month. Platinum was $1,000. Chairman was $2,990. The upgrade page printed a dollar sign and no currency code. She was 60, with her search set to men of 20 to 35, which may be why her price matched his.
$800 across 4 months, counting the complimentary month, comes to $200 a month. The screen never showed $200. I divided. The man's list had 43 Premium privileges, 48 on Platinum and 55 on Chairman. The cost page lines the tiers up. Check your own checkout before you subscribe.
What the money changes:
- Who sends the first message. Browsing, a wink and a reply are available without paying. Opening the thread is not. A woman who has not paid is stuck the same way: she cannot write first to a man who has not paid.
- When the thread disappears. If Premium lapses for both people, the platform takes the conversation down with it.
- Filters past the basics. Gender, age and place work free. On 3 October 2026 sort order, distance, Photo Verified, and "Open to Relocating or Traveling to Meet" were locked.
- What led his privilege list. The trademarked Human Concierge came first. Under it were meetups marked 1:1, then a team that advises on dating, then a profile read by that same concierge group. Staff time. It leaves the first-message rule alone.
The man's list also names an Exclusive PREMIUM Card you can share, and "Receive Messages Only After You Initiate Contact." A woman's list was one shorter at each tier (42, 47, 54) and adds annual-income and net-worth filters. Members pick the tiers. The platform does not verify them, and the man's account was not offered those filters.
I would not buy Chairman. It adds a matchmaking service these accounts never purchased, so I cannot say it produces a meeting. $200 a month for Premium is the only paid tier I would consider, and only after the free browse. If Toronto is your city, start with the Toronto page.
What can a free account do on day one?
On 3 October 2026 a free account could open the Gallery and see a first screen of about 20 profiles. Basic filters worked: gender, age range, location (country, province or state, city). The Advanced filter tab, including sort order, Photo Verified, Open to Relocating or Traveling to Meet and distance from you, was locked behind an upgrade. The Flame tab showed an UPGRADE NOW prompt. You may look, wink and reply. You may not open a conversation. The FAQ caps winks at 20 a day at first and 40 later. Settings offered a one-month Premium reward under a Security Reward Program.
The platform bars pay-per-meet, contact that never leaves the internet, and casual or short-lived plans. You must be at least 20, and also the age of majority where you live. Whether a private gift is consideration for a sexual service is a Criminal Code question. General information, not legal advice: is sugar dating legal in Canada?
Who showed up in the Canadian Gallery?
The first 1,011 women's profiles the Gallery showed a Canadian account on 3 October 2026 had a median age of 28. 635 of those 1,011 were marked open to travel. 44 showed a Premium badge. The same afternoon, the first 1,011 men's profiles had a median age of 42, 592 of them were over 40, and 178 showed a Premium badge. A badge is not proof anyone paid. It is a mark on the card. It does tell you which profiles are allowed to open a chat.
These cards are a sample. The Gallery never showed an end, and both samples stall near 1,000, so dividing one by the other would fake a ratio. Province shares on the women's side held steady in each block of 200. On the men's side the median drifted from 45 in the first 200 cards to 39 by cards 800 to 1,000, so this sample leans older. Men's cards state no role. They are not a roster of sugar daddies. The homepage's "about three women for every man" is a worldwide claim, not this count.
| Province or territory | Women | Men |
|---|---|---|
| Ontario | 478 | 418 |
| Quebec | 188 | 171 |
| British Columbia | 151 | 184 |
| Alberta | 125 | 159 |
| Manitoba | 16 | 25 |
| Saskatchewan | 18 | 21 |
| Nova Scotia | 13 | 13 |
| New Brunswick | 11 | 7 |
| Newfoundland and Labrador | 8 | 4 |
| Prince Edward Island | 2 | 4 |
| Yukon | none in the women's cards | 3 |
| Northwest Territories | 1 | 1 |
In the Greater Toronto Area the same cards included 302 women (median age 26) and 279 men (median age 41), and 63 of those men's profiles showed a Premium badge. Still a sample. Read sugar dating in Toronto for the towns in that label, and who is on SugarDaddyMeet in Canada for the method.
French is only in the short preview: 72 of 188 Quebec women's previews, 47 of 171 men's, and 0 women's previews outside Quebec. The national mix will not tell you who is close by.
Flame and 1:1 Meetup suggested cities outside Canada that day, and SDM Select suggested the United States. Only the Gallery followed the Canadian filter.
What are the downsides?
Premium at $300 a month is the downside that hits first. The upgrade page shows a dollar sign and no currency code, so check the currency and any conversion on your own checkout and card statement. Flame, 1:1 Meetup and SDM Select ignored Canada, there is no iPhone app (Android is an APK inside the account), and Flame opens on an UPGRADE NOW wall. See the apps page. Older write-ups still quote a much lower price list. It is out of date. The cost page retires those figures once.
How do refunds and complaints work?
Want the fee back? The agreement dated 12 May 2026 gives you 3 business days from the start, a span it labels the Trial Period, and after that it treats the fee as spent. Paid terms renew on their own, for a matching length, until you stop them.
The FAQ disagrees. It offers cancellation "without any penalty or obligation," then "full / prorated refund inquiries within a reasonable time frame," at 1-416-628-1072 or 1-888-702-1274 (toll-free), usually within one business day. The dated agreement is the rule I would use. Member complaints stay on the platform. Elena cannot see your account. Reporting is on sugar dating scams in Canada.
Is SugarDaddyMeet safe to use from Canada?
The footer says, and this is the whole line: "SugarDaddyMeet does not conduct background checks on the members of this website." The service agreement's heading NO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENING says the company does not conduct them, then reserves a right it has no duty to use. I rely on the sentence that says it does not. A Photo Verified badge does not fill the gap. The FAQ says the photo check does not confirm income, a job, intentions or a criminal record.
The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre's 2025 tables, modified 25 February 2026, put relationship fraud at 1,093 reports, 933 victims and $63.3 M, inside a year of over 112,000 fraud reports and more than $704 million. Those tables do not name SugarDaddyMeet. The tables are the source. The Centre's romance note (16 January 2026) describes trust first, then an ask for travel money, a medical emergency, family help, a business or cryptocurrency. The Competition Bureau (19 January 2022) says the ask is often a sick relative, and then the person disappears. Get Cyber Safe (9 February 2026) adds crypto and gift cards.
I would stop at an Interac e-transfer to someone I had not met. A first meeting belongs on a route you already ride, a busy TTC station or a weekday SkyTrain stop, with the thread still on the site. If money has moved, call your bank the same day, tell local police, and report at 1-888-495-8501 or reportcyberandfraud.canada.ca. Police investigate. The Centre's lines run Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4:45 pm Eastern. Steps are on the safety guide.

Look before you pay.
Open an account and look around before any paid tier. The month of Premium I saw was $300, and I would buy it only after a city filter turned up someone worth writing to.
